A Little Bit About Me
Asalamu Alaikum and welcome to my profile, I’m Yusef

Over 20 years ago, after a time of deep searching and reflection, I was guided to this beautiful deen. Alhamdulillah, it changed the course of my life. My journey in Islam has been filled with learning, growth and gratitude, and I was blessed to perform Hajj in 2016 — a moment that still anchors me today. I’m always seeking a deeper connection with Allah and enjoy reflecting on who He created me to be.

I’m 50 years old and live in London, where I work as a manager for a Housing Association. I have a degree in Business and Spanish, which gave me the chance to live in Spain for a year — an experience that opened my heart to new perspectives and taught me the beauty of language, culture and connection.

Martial arts has been a lifelong passion of mine. It’s not just a physical discipline, but something that’s shaped my mindset and character over the years. I now teach three times a week at my local karate club and find so much joy in working with children — their energy and sincerity are refreshing and humbling.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me somewhere quiet in nature. I love discovering peaceful gardens and parks and just taking the time to slow down and reflect. I also enjoy writing poetry and expressing thoughts that come from the heart.

People who know me well would describe me as calm, gentle and quietly thoughtful. I’m someone who listens deeply, values honesty, and takes care in how I show up for others. I believe that kindness, patience and emotional understanding are the foundations of any meaningful relationship.

Faith is my compass. I try to approach each day with presence and purpose, reflecting often on my intentions and striving to better myself with sincerity. I know that we’re all on a journey, and I believe in supporting one another with gentleness and compassion as we grow.

In a marriage, I hope to offer loyalty, care and emotional warmth — a space of trust and ease where we can build something strong together. I’m looking for someone who is emotionally aware, kind-hearted and committed to growing in both deen and character. Someone who understands that a true partnership is built on mutual respect, understanding and shared hopes — in this life and for the next, InshaAllah.
