Peace be upon you.
Okay I like social science so I'm switching it up a bit here.. Let see how this goes..
Children - I have a ten year old boy and would like one more a couple of years after settling into a new relationship. I feel 35/36 is too old to have a baby so I'm half giving up on having another child.
Money - I hate being in debt, spend within my means, save what I can and like to give to the needy.
Islam - Is thee most important thing in life, in relationships and in society.
I'm trying so hard to give a rational view of Islam but I can't. It's from my heart.. the thing I hold dearest and closest to me.. the thing that gets me through.
I do have concerns about indoctrination and try to practise the parts of the religion that emulate good character. I believe in all the tenents of faith, but do have some uncertainty about the process of the quran becoming a book, due to a lack of knowledge.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys studying the religion from home.
Sex - I've practiced chastity for the last 7 years so I'm looking for someone that also values and practices chastity. After marriage I would like to practice natural family planning which takes a lot of organisation and responsibility, so I'm looking for someone that is fully on board and committed to taking a fair share of the responsibility.
Politics - I don't agree with a lot of modern day politics and believe all solutions are in the Quran and Sunnah. I would love to travel to experience what impact different political practices have on societies.
Lifestyle - we all have needs.. needs for exercise, for socialising for entertainment and needs for good health etc.. I try to find balance with all of these things. I value my health and try to look after myself in a way where I will benefit in old age. I eat well, take a holistic approach to illnesses and live an active lifestyle.
Work - After marriage I don't plan to work. I homeschool my son full time. His education, development, wellbeing, safety and future are all really important to me. I'm planning to homeschool him for the next 6 years up until college.
Someone with similar views and morals.
Do you know what I think part of the complexities of finding the right spouse are? - We're over populated and have too much choice! Imagine living 2000 years ago in a little village somewhere, where there's about 10 eligible suitors.
Who are you attracted to the most.. Do you get on well? That's that.. Nice n simple.
May Allah make it easier for us all.
I'm registering to find myself a partner
