What I Am Looking For
The phrase “husband material” is often thrown around in today's society. However, as Muslims, we should not base our lives on culture but instead on the Qur’an and Sunnah.

What do I want or need in a future spouse? The specifics of his skin colour, travel experiences, financial status, or fitness habits do not matter to me. I seek someone who lives, leads, and loves with taqwa (God-consciousness), ihsan (excellence), and humility.

I seek a man who prioritises his relationship with Allah ﷻ as the foundation of his life. Someone who invests in his knowledge of the deen and encourages those around him—including his future spouse—to do the same.

I want someone who doesn’t preach perfection but walks the path of sincerity. A person whose presence uplifts my iman (faith) rather than burdens it.

He should know how to balance his obligations, work with dedication, and have personal goals while ensuring that pursuing worldly matters does not consume his attention. He must understand that true success is measured in the akhirah (Hereafter).

I desire someone who makes time for shared moments—a cup of tea, a walk after prayer, or a kind conversation at the end of a long day. He should live in the present, recognising that provision comes from Allah ﷻ, not from endless hustle.

I want someone who shows love not just in words but also through the time he dedicates. He should be a source of emotional and spiritual safety, listening with presence, taking my words seriously, and correcting me with care rather than ego.

I seek a man with a protective nature that stems from love, not dominance. He should make me feel cherished and valued, leading with gentleness rather than control. I desire someone who is not consumed by jealousy but is protective nonetheless.
