A Little Bit About Me
Bismillah ... As-salamu alaykum!

First and foremost, I am a single father to four beautiful children - two boys (aged 15 & 10) and two girls (aged 13 & 8) - they live with me full-time and I wouldn't change that for all the treasure in the world. I understand if that is off-putting, but in that case we wouldn't be right for each other and so there is no point in wasting time. I wish you all the best in your search and hope you find what you're looking for.

If you're still reading at this point, then I guess I should tell you a little more about myself ...

I split up with my ex-wife 6 years ago and since then have raised my children as a single father - their mother moved abroad and is no longer a part of their lives in any way. I chose to put off getting remarried in order to focus on the needs of my children. Now that they are a little older and maturer, I am starting to think about finding a companion for myself - I'm not looking for a mother or nanny for my children :)

Alhamdulillah, I work full time and am successful in my career. I work in the IT industry and have always been passionate about computing & technology since an early age. However I dislike social media platforms and don't use them.

I took an online personality test and apparently my personality type is ISTP (Virtuoso) - that sounds about right. I'm an introvert and don't like to be in the limelight. I'm also a deep thinker and love having intellectual conversations. I'd rather have a quiet night in conversing about your intellectual topic of choice, or just watching something on Netflix, instead of going out to a social event. Pretty boring, I know ... but better to be honest about it :)

Alhamdulillah, I have a good understanding of the deen but there is always more to learn. I try to follow the Quran & Sunnah and differentiate between cultural practices and Islam.

What I Am Looking For
Let me be clear about the following:
I am NOT looking for a mother or nanny for my children
I am NOT looking for a maid for my house
I am NOT looking to date someone or have pointless conversations
I am NOT looking for time wasters

What I AM looking for is a companion to share the tender moments of life with - the highs and the lows, the joys and the sorrows. Someone to share a joke with, a laugh, a smile. Someone to grow old with. Someone for me.

But it goes without saying that it must be someone who gets on with my children - so if you're not good around children then it won't work.

I am looking for someone serious who would be willing to get her family involved as soon as possible.

Aside from that I don't really have any firm requirements - I'm happy to consider all backgrounds and circumstances. Marriage is about compromise and I'm prepared to compromise :)

P.S. If you can speak Arabic then that would be a bonus - as I'm currently trying to learn it!
