A Little Bit About Me
Assalamu Alaikum,

So usually, you’ll find me in the kitchen on the weekends and when I am not daydreaming about opening up a patisserie I work as a project manager. I'm a natural host at heart. There's something amazing that happens when I get to cook and host for others. I love seeing people feeling happy and satiated, and it brings me joy to create memorable experiences for my loved ones.

When I am not in the kitchen, I spend my time eating out with friends, visiting museums, and exploring London and beyond. I like to be out in nature when I can and take in the beauty that Allah swt has blessed us with. There are so many great things out there to see and appreciate so you will never find me sitting idle but saying that I do like cosy weekends in binge-watching shows on Netflix. I am also a massive bookworm, so you’ll always see me with a book in my hand.

My deen is very important and plays a huge part in my daily life, so I spend a lot of time reading and learning as I am always looking for ways to improve myself. I enjoy listening to Islamic lectures and attend classes online on a regular basis to increase my knowledge. I try to take as much time out for both tafakkur, where I reflect on the beauty and complexity of the world around me and tadhakkur where I express gratitude and remind myself for all the blessings and lessons in my life.

I see myself as being grounded, super organised, self-aware and.. I'll admit it a bit of a clean freak! I love having a clean space, and I find that it helps me feel calm and centred! Self-improvement and self-development along with practicing gratitude are something that are part of my daily habit, and it would be great to find someone on a similar wavelength who does the same. I am someone who likes to take care of my soul and tries whenever possible to reform my heart to connect better to my Rabb.
