A Little Bit About Me
Assalamu alaikum. Hello to everyone who views my profile. I will explain some things about myself. My background. My hopes, wishes, dreams etc.
I'm 49 years old, recently divorced. I have 4 adult kids. 2 grandkids and 1 on the way.
I am American, born and raised in Louisiana. I'm a Cajun. I am Muslim since 2013. I wear hijab, I'm a practicing Muslim. I pray, fast.
I'm younger at heart. I don't act my age, not meaning that I'm immature, but I relate to the younger generation.
Being American I relate to the Western mentality, way of living. I was married to an Arab for 20 years so I also relate to that culture, mentality, way of life. I'm open to different cultures but would prefer someone who can relate also to mine. I believe this is a big factor in determining if the relationship can be successful.
I'm looking for a serious relationship that will lead to marriage. I want to get married as soon as possible. I'm not willing to jump into marriage tomorrow. But my purpose on this app is to find someone who is serious as me, get to know someone with similar interests, someone to relate to, click with, have chemistry and get married. I really don't want to waste anyone's time with games, someone looking to play around, someone just looking for easy way to get to America, or someone who wants pictures, or loose conduct. I'm not that kind of woman.
I am a fun-loving person. I love to laugh. I'm easy going. I like to think I have a great sense of humor. I can be sarcastic with the best of them but I'm not always sarcastic. There's time for seriousness and time to play. I love to cook and bake. I know many Arab dishes, Southern cuisine, and American food, pretty much anything😄
Hmm what else can I say. Oh I love animals especially cats. I love nature. I love to travel, see new places. I love visiting historical places. I like museums, aquariums, zoos. I live near the Mediterranean sea. I love walking along the sea every day. I've been living in Türkiye for 3.5 years. I love it here. But willing to move if I need to, if I find the right person and it's necessary.
I don't mind having a joint family meaning someone who already has kids. I will say I love kids and wish to have more but I am physically unable to carry a child of my own. I'm open to adoption or other means.
English is a must. I can't be with someone who can't communicate.
Oh and definitely if you smoke it's a deal breaker. I cannot and will not compromise on this, neither a drinker.
I don't claim to be a perfect Muslim. I do my best. I'm looking for someone similar to me.
I dress modestly, not necessarily abaya but not provocative. I wear light makeup on occasion. If my spouse doesn't like it I'm ok to not wear it. I respect my husband's wish.
