A Little Bit About Me
I have lived in East London all my life, I am half Arab and half Pakistani but I don't have grounding in either culture. I was given away when I was 2 yrs old and lived in foster care until the age of 16 then from there I moved away and made my own life by myself.
People that know me will tell you that i am a very loving and caring man, emotionally intelligent and extremely kind and compassionate who is working in security as a manager working in the city of london with a mission to save up and travel the world (I will one day!!!)🙂
History, culture, art and architecture fascinates me! Dabble in a bit of photography, art, creative writing, cooking (mainly experimental!)...DIY...Well....I generally take an interest in everything and anything and so I used to find myself going down a rabbit hole @3am researching something completely random! 🙈 ( I’m sure everyone does that!) not so much anymore as I’m an early riser and like to get out the house for morning walks if not going to work.
Aside from that I do have my own ambitions in life - no one is a finished article and there’s always something new to explore or a skill to learn. Therefore I would like a career/ family balance - rather a chance to pursue personal interests and still be my own person. At the same time I have been brought up in a very family orientated environment and the importance of that foundation is strongly embedded within me.
Culturally, I would describe myself as having an equal balance of both east & west. I’m appreciative of the good in both cultures and am an amalgamation of a bit of everything.
In terms of religion, I try my best in practicing and am a strong believer in implementing teachings to shape how we relate to and treat others without judgement and deal with circumstances in life. Everyone has their own journey and challenges to face for reasons we may not understand; and so for me though I live my life with certain principles it’s also important to not let our moral compass overshadow how we treat others nor allow it to turn into religious pride.
Other than that I’d say I’m quite a grounded individual, An empath, Quite average in fact, As nutty and goofy as I am serious and inquisitive; certainly no claims to perfection at all and always striving to be better, as we all hope to be Insha Allah :)
Although divorced for quite some time with the blessings of two young sons who I keep in contact with, I am happily single Alhumdullilah! 🙏 so marriage for me means genuinely wanting to spend the rest of your life with that person, not just because “it’s about time”. Being super-comfortable & clicking with the other person is important; attraction on some level and some common interests might be part of that ‘je ne sais quoi’. .... who knows...
That being said, I see marriage as team work, to build together, motivate each other to be better individuals, appreciate each other’s interests, to live, to learn, be each other’s better half with love, honesty & respect. Life is too short - don’t over-complicate it.
