A Little Bit About Me
“And one of His signs is that he created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them, and He put between you love and compassion; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.” (30:21)
I appeared on this planet in Chelmsford, a town located in the heart of Essex. However, I was raised in London and still here.
I love to spend time with my family and especially cherish those moments that I get to spend with my siblings, more so than ever as we are all now "doing our own thing".
I enjoy meeting other human beings and making new acquaintances, but I can count on my fingers those individuals whom I can categorise as true or special friends. I have been told by some that upon initial contact I may come across as someone who is, to an extent, reserved. But that trait is soon cast aside to leave a genial, a good-natured and a good-humoured host.
I am an avid reader and try to fill some of my spare time with a date with an interesting read. I am notoriously known for frequenting a local but sometimes not so local coffee shop with a text in hand, trying to grapple with some intellectually stimulating concept. To be absolutely frank, afterwards I sometimes only remember and recollect the taste of the coffee lol. I must also mention that such trips to the coffee shop often provide me with a perfect opportunity to systematise my thoughts into some semblance of order.
I try my best to indulge in a strenuous workout at the gym on a somewhat regular basis, albeit this aspect of my life is very much a work in progress.
"You are what you eat". When it comes to a disclosure of culinary habits I can reveal that I am not a "fussy" eater. I do like to expose my taste buds to different types of cuisine. Having said that I must admit I am partial towards Turkish delight (I meant 'Turkish food'), especially when dining out.
I relish every chance I get to travel and experience new places. It is most definitely one of the areas in my life that I would like to enhance.
I think that this should be adequately enough by way of an introduction and further insight can be gained by anyone who so pleases. In a nutshell, I am a simple and straight-forward man, far from perfect but by no means the worst, one who understands that life is but a transitory phase, a means to an end.
"Life consists of two days, one for you and on against you. So when it’s for you don’t be proud or reckless, and when it’s against you be patient, for both days are a test for you." - Imam Ali (AS)
Best of luck to all...
