A Little Bit About Me
My elder sister's name is Kiran. She's almost 39years old and Alhamdulillah she LOVES every second of her life, but as per the will of Allah, we just haven't found the right guy for her, so we're giving this online thing a shot. :) We are Sunni Muslim, Urdu-speaking, and Kiran and I were both born and raised in the US. She identifies herself as an American Muslim more than desi. We live in Houston, TX and we are just two sisters. She lives a moderate lifestyle in terms of wearing Islam on her sleeve. She does not take the hijab, but we always dress modestly otherwise. She is by definition a care-taker. Her joy is in my parents joy and she will do things for them quietly even before they express it verbally. She's extremely organized and neat and has a great sense of keeping a home looking nice. She's VERY very observant. I suppose this is one reason why she's able to be such a good care-taker. We may be desi by our language and skin color, but in honest truth, there's nothing Pakistani about her. She's fiercely independent, and has little to no interest in the things the desi culture dictates. She would rather wear jeans than a shalwar qameez. When you meet her, she's very quiet and reserved, but at home she's a chatterbox. In public settings she would much rather listen than speak, and she truly thinks before she speaks, which I admire greatly. Her sense of humor is amazing. Most of our time together is spent laughing Alhamdulillah. She LOVES going out to the movies [if you are a fan of Pixar films that is a HUGE check mark on her list] and eating out. [FOODIE ALERT]...we couldn't afford to take many trips growing up, so travelling and sight-seeing are on the to-do list for sure. She can be a bit stubborn at times, but she realizes it because it is her nature to reflect internally, which is not easy to do for most. She loves her job and hopes to work pretty much as long as possible, and she's a furrbaby mother...to 3 cats. :-D she loves to learn more and more about our Deen and loves to listen to to our amazing scholars of the west, including and especially Omar Suleiman. Her salaah is very important to her and she hopes to find a husband who will value this gift of Allah as much as she does.

What I Am Looking For
SUNNI Muslims only please! U.S. citizen preferred. (It’s just easier.) An absolute must-have characteristic that Kiran wants is a man who has a positive outlook on life and values the gift of Islam as much as or more than she does. Salaah is super important, clean speech, respectfulness, -but not at the expense of a sense of humor. Our family is full is comedians Alhamdulillah so she needs to be able to laugh with her husband inShaAllah. She prefers to stay in Houston, or at least within Texas, seeing that we are only two girls and we should be relatively close to our parents as they age. My mom would prefer a Pakistani fellow as he would know better the culture of our parents and the Urdu language, but Kiran doesn't care about race at all Alhamdulillah, so long as he is open-minded, down to earth, and gives her a certain amount of independence...and she will reciprocate. She is a care-taker, but she definitely needs a hard-working and caring man who will be the carer for her also. Education and a secure job are important as well...Alhamdulillah we are all very educated people and will expect the same of the family we make ties with inShaAllah. He should enjoy exploring new places, walking and site seeing landscapes and nature, eating out now and then and watching movies (no seriously...she will drag you to a restaurant or movie almost every weekend), and....yeah I think that's about it. :)
